About Church
On Mar 29th, I went to St. Paul Church with my planning teacher Mandy. This church located in Taiping South Road. This is a Catholicism church. I chose to go to a church because I know many English-speaking people go to the church, I want to know more about this people’s culture.
When I arrived there, it’s 9:50a.m., Mandy haven’t been there yet, so I looked around to see the style of the church, I thought the church’s style was Gothic, it’s very difficult to see this kind of building in China.
Shortly after, Mandy came to the church, she told me that the English service started at 10:30 a.m., and we need to wait. So she told me some basic knowledge about Catholicism. I felt very amazed when I heard she quickly said several very long sentences.
Then we entered the Church. The whole English service was divided into many parts, like ‘Anthem’, ‘The collect’ etc. When I heard other people said ‘Amen’, I found that Mandy had a different pronunciation, so I asked her why, she told me that because she is a American, American and British have different ways to say ‘Amen’. During the service, I also asked Mandy many other questions, she asked me one by one. Quickly, one and a half hour passed away. I needed to go, finally I said thanks to Mandy and went back to school
In conclusion, I thought this event is very meaningful, I can learn much knowledge about the religious and culture. I will still go there if I am free.

Sleepless night
On May 2nd, a famous Russian singer named Vitas held a concert in Nanjing Olympic Centre. Luckily, I went there to listen to his dolphin-vocal-sounding.
When I arrived at the Centre, I felt very excited, and looked around to find where Vitas was. Shortly after, I realized that was impossible.
The concert began at 7:30 p.m. Vitas was dressed up as an astronaut to sang in the stage. Suddenly, he took off his helmet, and then I saw a very handsome face. This made the audiences very happy.
Next he sang a lot of traditional Russian songs, like ‘My Sun’, ‘Moscow Nights’ etc. To my surprised, he also sang two Chinese songs. After that, he also say ‘I love you’, ‘You are very good’ in Chinese. Two hours passed away quickly, he said goodbye to us. We felt very sad, shout loudly, and didn’t allow him to go. Then we all know that he lied to us. The same condition appeared three times. The last time, he went outside to carry a box with him and returned to the stage slowly, he opened the box, there was a red scarf in the box, and he put on that scarf~~~ We all knew that he would sing his famous song----Opera 2.
This song lasted about four minutes, after that, he really went away, but it seemed that I still could hear his dolphin-vocal-sounding.
I think this concert is very satisfied. I could listen to many wonderful songs, if I have the same chance next time, I still will come to Vitas’s concert.

My first performance
I will never forget Dec 30th last year, at that day, I showed my break dance in front a lot of people with another two friends.
One day before the performance, Mike from 10-D came to ask me if I want to dance in the stage tomorrow, I felt very surprised about that. Though I am a member of the Dancing Club, no one asked me to dance.
Mike told me if I wanted to dance, I must learn the dancing they would show tomorrow tonight. Because Mike and I both lived in the dorm, so he taught how to dance that dancing in the veranda. About an hour later, I almost knew all the actions, so he and I danced together. Many people thought we were crazy, when they walked past us, they always kept laughing. However, we did nothing, just continued to dance.
One night passed away quickly. We needed to rehearse with another friend before the performance. When we finished the dress rehearsal, we all felt very wonderful. Shortly after, finally it’s the real time for us to dance. I felt very nervous and dared not to look at the audiences’ eyes. We finished our dancing quickly. I knew that the last ‘freeze’ which I did was very ugly because I still needed to practice.
I know this performance is not very good, but at that time, but I have tried my best. Now, I will keep dancing to improve my skills, I promise, next time, I will show you a very satisfied dancing.

The Danish and me
I will never forget March 14th this year, about 20 Danish students came to visit GCA. Luckily, our planning teacher Mandy let me to become one guide of these students, I needed to take them travel around our school for 1 hour.
My partners and I received two handsome boys------one is called Martin, the other called Rajesh. They are both very interested in Chinese culture. Firstly, we played table tennis with them, to our surprise, these two international friends are very good at it. Then we took them to our dorm, they felt very curious about Chinese dorm and asked me some questions. Afterwards we went to the market near our school, they thought this kind of market is very different and kept taking photos. One hour passed very quickly, when we wanted to say goodbye to them, they actually invited us to go to have lunch with them, so we take them and another two groups to eat in a Swiss restaurant in Xinjiekou. On the way there, we lost our way, my partners and I all felt very sorry about that, however, they didn’t care about that at all, they said we can travel around the city slowly to see the beauty of Nanjing. One and a halt hours later, finally we arrived at the reastaurant, but we all felt happy.
In the restaurant, we made our group mixed, Chinese students and Danish students sit with students from different country. Firstly, I didn’t know which kind of food was delicious, so I asked a girl who sat beside me to recommend food for me, she told me to eat a kind of porkchop.Shortly after, we all got our dishes, we talked with each other, discussed the differences between culture happily. After I finished my dishes, a Danish student asked me if I wanted to share her pizza. That made me feel the we became friends with each other a long time before.
After the lunch, other students took Danish to play soccer at school, I took Martin and another two girls to send postcards. We arrived at two post office, however, there are no enough expensive stamps, we still felt very happy. Finally, we sent the postcards in Gulou. After that, they wanted to go back to the hotel, so we hugged each other and said goodbye to each other.
Now, I still connect with them by Facebook, I can talk to them any time I want. We all think the time that we met in Nanjing is a shiny part in our lifetime. However, the postcards that I helped him to send they haven’t received yet, I am very sorry about that. I will try to send them several new postcards if they want. I want to keep the friendship forever.
This activity let me know some Danish cultures and practiced my English skills. I also made several international friends. I think this kind of activity is very wonderful. I am looking forward to another activity like this next time!

Museum Day Tour
Last Saturday, I went to Nanjing Paleontology Museum with James, this museum is very interesting; I learn a lot of knowledge during this tour.
First, we saw a big dinosaur model in front of us when we entered the museum; it’s a very famous dinosaur in ancient China. It’s very huge but just eats plants. After the dinosaur, we saw a lot of specimen of microorganism; we can watch these small things very well. Some of them have very rational constitution, could help them easily to live. Then we can see many ancient animals, such as very huge crocodile (larger than any crocodiles on earth now), strange elephant (its teeth was like spades) ~~~ Afterwards we went to watch a movie which introduces ancient living things for us, the movie is very interesting, we can easily know many things by this movie.
The most interesting thing that attracted me a lot was a huge dragonfly. It’s the hugest dragonfly that had ever been on earth. Now 10 normal dragonflies can be the same size as it. It speed could be 40km/hour, almost the same speed as a car. It doesn’t eat plants, but eats other small insects. The model of it was very horrible, makes me feel very disgusting.
In conclusion, I knew a lot of things that I can’t learn in class during this tour. I think it’s necessary for Chinese students because they always keep studying knowledge for the text books. If I have another chance, I want to go to a museum about Chinese History.
